Membership Dues:

National and Free State PTA:  First payment due by October 31, and then each month that you receive new memberships (per Bylaws)

Free State PTA offers its locals three ways to pay their State and National dues.  Go to Free State PTA, FSPTA Committees, Membership for more information.
The current price per member that is due to Free State PTA is $4.25.
($2.00 for Free State PTA and $2.25 for National dues).

PTA Council of Howard County Membership Dues
DUE: November 1st – $200.00 per year

Use the invoice form PTA Council Invoice of Dues and Scholarship Donation and submit the form with a check to PTACHC at address shown on form.

JUNE
Send the contact information for your PTA/PTSA officers to Free State PTA and to PTA Council within 2 weeks of your PTA elections (even if you have the same officers as the prior year):

JULY/AUGUST
The financial review should be completed over the summer.
Audit Procedures
Send a copy of your Financial Review and all federal and state filings to both PTACHC (SoCA@ptachc.org) and Free State PTA (SOA@fspta.org).

SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER
Approve budget for the current fiscal year
Proper Use of PTA Funds

NOVEMBER
PTA Council Dues Invoice and Scholarship Donation Form – due November 1
990’s (remember to include schedule A for those filing 990EZ/990)

DECEMBER
MD Charitable Organization Renewal and
MD Annual Financial Report (if your local unit files a 990-N(postcard) with the IRS) or Charitable Exemption (if your local unit only receives funding from members)

MARCH/APRIL
Personal Property Return – file online no later than April 15th
