- Your local PTA unit's current bylaws - (review the section on your duties
carefully)
- Budget adopted by your local PTA unit
- Receipt book
- Checkbook
- Account book to keep the financial records
- Permanent IRS tax information
- Permanent state tax information
- Up-to-date roster of members of the association
- Copy of the most recent "Money Matters" from National PTA (also available on their website in the members only section.)
- Reconciliation reports for the past ten (10) years
- Cash receipts, bank deposits, invoices and statements for the past seven
(7) years
- General correspondence
- Budgets for the past three years
- Supplemental Handbook provided by PTA Council
This can all be kept in a three ring binder for easy accessibility.
