Policy Review for 2023-2024 School Year
Seeking representatives now to represent PTACHC next school year!
The following policies will be chartered by the BOE tentatively on July 13, 2023.
They would like names of those interested in serving by June 30th.
All meetings will be virtual; however, dates have not yet been scheduled.
Committee meetings will start in the Fall.

In order to represent PTACHC you must be a PTA member at a Howard County school.

The policies being reviewed in the 2023-2024 school year are:
- Policy 1080 Educational Equity-Meetings 9/20 (6-8pm), 10/18 (TBD), 11/15 (TBD)
- Policy 2080 Academic Calendar Advisory Committee (new)–Filled
- Policy 3050 Records Management
- Policy 4000 Grants
- Policy 4200 Meal Charges-Meetings 8/9 (5-7pm), 9/13 (TBD), 9/27 (TBD), 10/4 (TBD)
- Policy 9290 Gangs, Gang Activity, and Similar Destructive or Delinquent Group Behavior-9/12 (4:30-6pm), 9/26 (TBD), 10/10 (TBD), 10/24 (TBD), 11/7 (TBD)
- Policy 9070 Academic Eligibility for High School Extracurricular Activities
Representatives are representing PTACHC and not their own individual opinion, so you must report to the policy chair one week prior to the general meetings, especially if there is a heated discussion within the committee so we can ask the PTA reps and board their thoughts and get a majority/minority opinion.
