List of PTA Officers Needed for 2025-26 School Year
Please use this google form to send your list of new officers for the 2025-26 school year to the PTA Council. Complete and submit one form for each officer and send a list even if your officers do not change from this year. This information is needed to satisfy the requirements for nonprofit organizations; and sending notices about meetings, events, training opportunities. Please submit no later than July 1, 2025.
Free State PTA: You can submit your PTA/PTSA’s officer list to Free State PTA via Givebacks. Units that do not use Givebacks may be able to report their new officer information to the Free State PTA membership chair at Membership@fspta.org.

We are delighted to announce the winners of the 2024-2025 Free State PTA Reflections Contest, celebrating the theme “Accepting Imperfection.” This year, students throughout the State of Maryland showcased their artistic talents across six categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts.
The highest honor, the Outstanding Interpretation Award, was bestowed upon the top entry in each age group and arts area. These exceptional works have been advanced to the National PTA Reflections competition. In addition to these top honors, Awards of Excellence and Awards of Merit were granted to second and third place entries, respectively, in each category and age group.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all participating students for their creativity and dedication, and we eagerly anticipate celebrating their achievements at the upcoming ceremony, which will be announced at a later date.

OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES for your PTA
The Homewood School has 3 distinct programs to meet the specific needs of individual students who have difficulty functioning in traditional classroom settings. Homewood does not have a PTA as each student is counted at their home school. There are several ways to assist Homewood’s staff and students.

Back Pack and School Supply Drive
How can my PTA/PTSA help our Howard County students who are in need of school supplies?
Prepare for Success is an all-volunteer effort on behalf of students in the Howard County Public Schools System. 100% of all monetary donations are used to purchase supplies.
From July to August, Howard County residents are able to drop off donations of new school supplies at any of the partner sites across Howard County.
